Join our weekly Volunteering Information Session
Volunteer Glasgow hosts weekly Volunteering Information Sessions every Wednesday at 11am. Everybody is welcome – whether you’re just curious or ready to get started!
📍Where:
Skills Development Scotland
Monteith House
11 George Square
Glasgow, G2 1DY
(You’ll find the office next to Greggs on the corner of George Square.)
What to expect
These relaxed group sessions last around an hour. We kindly ask everyone to arrive for 11:00am so we can get started together.
Sessions will be delivered in English, and people are welcome to bring along a friend, family member, support worker, or anyone else who helps them feel comfortable.
The sessions are also a great chance to meet others who are interested in volunteering.
What we’ll cover
A member of the Volunteering Support Team will:
- Give an introduction to volunteering
- Highlight the wellbeing benefits of getting involved
- Demonstrate how to search for opportunities on the Volunteer Glasgow website
- Help people think about what types of volunteering might suit them
There will also be time for questions, discussion, and exploring any concerns or barriers people may have. If needed, additional one-to-one support can also be arranged afterwards.
There will be no Information Session on Wednesday 26th August
However, a Volunteering Support Advisor will be available from 11:00am for anyone who would benefit from support.
We’re really looking forward to welcoming anyone interested in exploring volunteering opportunities.
If you have any questions or would like to chat about the changes, please contact emma.mclean@volunteerglasgow.org.
