Tackling techno troubles
Computers, mobile phones and other gadgets for work, leisure and keeping in touch are key tools for blind and partially sighted people.
Online Today, a lottery-funded project led by RNIB Scotland, holds group and one-to-one sessions across the country to ensure that no one with sight loss need be left behind in today’s digital revolution. The Technology Scotland Squad is here to help people with sight loss with installing, fixing, training and using their home technology. On Saturday 30th April, RNIB will host a drop-in from 11am to 1pm for people with sight loss who would like training or information about getting online using mobile devices. There will also be a formal training session in the afternoon at a time to be confirmed. This will be held at The Jury’s Inn, 80 Jamaica Street, Glasgow G1 4QG.
