Climate Action Spotlight – Glasgow Tool Library

For our Climate Action campaign we will be spotlighting organisations in Glasgow that are making a fantastic impact in the Climate Action Movement with the support of volunteers.

Today’s spotlight is Glasgow Tool Library, soon to be based at Queens Cross Housing Association in the North of Glasgow.

The Glasgow Tool Library (GTL) works just like a normal library, but instead of sharing books, we share tools. Established in 2017, the tool library is a community-led social enterprise and collective that promotes sharing, collaboration, and learning as forms of resistance, empowerment, and resilience.
We offer a range of volunteering opportunities and activities, that include cataloging, repairing and maintaining tools, operating our library service, facilitating events and workshops, and helping to shape the future of the organisation.
