All about ethics
Could you represent patient views on the ethics of NHS research? No expertise required! Age 25+
The West of Scotland Research Ethics Service (WoSRES) are looking to recruit lay members to an NHS Research Ethics Committee (REC), who review research applications and give an opinion on whether they are ethical. You don’t need medical knowledge, it’s an outside perspective that’s wanted.
You must have access to email and the internet as all correspondence is online. You would be required to attend monthly meetings, lasting around 3 hours, and also need to prepare for these meetings, again around 3 hours per month. Meetings take place at a variety of venues in Glasgow.
