Are you a community group, charity or public sector organisation that needs a team of volunteers for a big job?
Can you give a team of volunteers who are ready to hit the ground running a satisfying rewarding experience?
Can you accommodate a team of volunteers without elbowing your “regulars” out of the way?
Volunteer Glasgow can publicise your Team Volunteering Challenge and help you find a team from an organisation (usually an employer/workplace) that can help you out. We may already have had an offer that is just perfect so click here to look at the current offers
Or we can blog your Challenge for you and see who’s big and brave enough. Have a think about
- What does your organisation do? What is important?
- What is the task? Is it a one-off or is it ongoing? Do people need specific skills, clothing, equipment or tools?
- What size of team? How many people can you accommodate? Some teams may be happy to split up while others may want to stick together.
- When? Is there a deadline for getting this done? Should it be on a specific date? A specific day of the week may mean that your regular volunteers don’t feel shoved out of the way. What would a start and finish time be?
- Where do you need the team to be?
- Any access issues?
- What will the benefits be for your service users/beneficiaries? For your organisation? For the visiting team?
- Who will be the Contact Person? Teams will complete an online form which will go to a nominated person (by email)
- How long might a team expect to wait for a response? If your Contact Person is part-time you might want to say 5 working days.
- Do you have a logo to give your blog some oomph?
