Govan Volunteer Bank – Give Back & Grow

Govan Volunteer Bank was set up in 2019 as a collaborative approach with a range of voluntary projects and organisations to create and support quality, inclusive and valued volunteering opportunities in Govan.

GVB liaises with partners to establish training needs of volunteers, promoting and coordinating a wide range of training and skills development opportunities that are accessible for local volunteers and residents.

The Govan Volunteer Bank website is a central resource of information for members of the community looking to access volunteer and training opportunities as well as information on community events and services. It’s also a great resource for community groups and partners to promote their services and inform the local community of what’s happening in Govan and how to get involved in accessing services.

To register as a voluntary organisation on Govan Volunteer Bank, head to their website – www.govanvolunteerbank.org

Once your organisation is registered, you’ll be able to promote projects such as v
olunteering and training opportunities, as well as one-off or regular events, workshops and services.

Registration takes less than ten minutes and enables all opportunities registered with the Govan Volunteer Bank to be promoted through the following avenues:

  • Govan Volunteer Bank social media
  • Sunny Govan Radio
  • Govan Housing website
  • Govan Housing social media
  • Email distribution to a range of partners including Thriving Places, thematic groups, housing providers, HSCP, TSI networks, local voluntary organisations, local youth groups, and schools.

If your organisation provides services within the Govan Area and you’re looking to:
