Your volunteering will boost your employability. Volunteering Works!

We are recruiting candidates for our upcoming (click on link) Volunteering Works Program for August 2018 (Full dates on webpage). Volunteering Involving Organisations can also refer or encourage their volunteers to realise their employability prospects and transferable skills!

This is a city-wide recruitment process and open to all age groups but we are particularly interested in receiving South Side Glasgow referrals in the 18-25 years of age category due to funding commitments. NB this does not debar anyone in the 25+ age grouping from the South-side participating.

I was able to find a volunteering role that I enjoy and that I wouldn’t have thought of. (Participant, May 2018)

Volunteering experience will help you to improve your employability by:

  • Improving your CV.
  • Providing references.
  • Achieving transferable workplace skills.
  • Expanding your abilities.
  • Boosting your confidence and self esteem.

Prior to the Program start we’ll chat with you on a 1-2-1 basis; this will allow us to  discuss and explore any (click on link) volunteering role you maybe interested in. From this, it is hoped that opportunities identified will be taken up before the Program’s ending.

Completing the 5 week program will gain you an SQA Level 4 Employability Award.

Candidates will also complete the SQA Employability Award Level 4 on a Tuesday & Thursday from 1.30pm-3.30pm  at our (click on link) Bothwell Street Offices (travel costs will be met)

The content of the Volunteering Works Program was very useful and brought my confidence level back up to an acceptable level to consider future work roles. (Participant, May 2018)

If you need any more details give Derek Craig a call on 0141 226 2562 OR (click on link) REGISTER NOW! AT THE BOTTOM OF THE VOLUNTEERING WORKS PAGE.
