Take a Bow Glasgow!
Volunteers of Glasgow – What a wonderful bunch of people you are!
To Those Who Helped
If you were one of the people that stepped up and made a commitment to phone someone living alone, if you contributed your time to helping distribute food to people in need, or if you knocked on the door of someone on the shielding list and helped them in any number of ways…
If you walked someone’s dog, picked up a prescription, mowed the grass, took the bins out or any other job that made someone’s life just that little bit easier…
Many of you volunteered informally to help friends and neighbours, some of you had more time than ever before to help out in mutual aid groups or more formally through established community and third sector organisations, and some of us had to stop doing our normal volunteering activities due to restrictions.
A very big THANK YOU to everyone that has volunteered in any way over the last 15 months.
To Those Who Received Help
If you were shielding and benefitted from the assistance offered by volunteers in Glasgow, then maybe you’d like to thank them with one of these special Volunteers Week cards.
Just download, print, write your message and send!
If you are an organisation that has continued to offer a service during the pandemic and have someone you want to thank, then you can download these brilliant Volunteers Week resources from Volunteer Scotland, which includes templates for promoting your activities and thank you cards for your volunteers.
Share Your Stories
Now that Volunteers Week is almost upon us, why not share your experiences of volunteering over the last 15 months on social media.
Please remember to tag us in your posts and stories, using #VolunteersWeekScot and @volunteerglasgo (with no ‘w’ at the end) , so that we can find and share them with everyone.
