Recruiting Volunteers with Convictions

Volunteer Glasgow, Volunteer Edinburgh and Volunteer Scotland are teaming up to deliver an online training session based around encouraging the recruitment of volunteers with criminal convictions. The event will run online via Zoom, Thursday 1st December, from 2 – 3pm.

Share Your Feedback – Cost of Living Survey

The growing cost of living crisis is having an impact on us all. In response to this, Volunteer Scotland has undertaken a rapid review of the available evidence to look explicitly at the impact of the crisis on volunteers and volunteering. (You can read their Cost of Living Report HERE).

We’d like to hear from you, as a volunteer involving organisation, how the recent crisis has impacted your volunteer uptake. We will use this information to target our services and support to your needs in the upcoming months.

You can access the survey by clicking this link.

The survey should only take a few minutes of your time and we thank you greatly in advance.

Christmas Opportunities

A festive reminder that Christmas is fast approaching! If your organisation is recruiting for volunteer roles that will be taking place over Christmas, make sure to submit them as soon as possible to give you plenty of time to get back to applicants.

Team Volunteering Opportunities

Are you struggling with a task that requires a bit of teamwork? Corporate teams are looking for opportunities to donate their time and skills to organisations in Glasgow – if you have a project or task that could be supported by a team of volunteers, get in touch with us at findvolunteers@volunteerglasgow.org and we can help to make a match.

Cost of Living and the #RunningCostsCrisis – SCVO Support

We know that many organisations will have been impacted by the ongoing cost of living crisis and may be concerned about being able to continue delivering their services. For advice, resources and support, head to SCVO’s Cost of Living and #RunningCosts Crisis hub by clicking this link.
