Maryhill Netball Club – Junior Sports
Established 6 years ago to provide activities for young girls in the North of the city, the club saw a need to continue supporting the young people. The concept of a peer mentoring system was developed for those at senior level (aged 14/15) and for younger girls aged from 8 years. To continue to grow this and support the girls at the older academic scale, the club opened its doors to those of 14+ years in the role of coaching/officiating. This was seen as a valuable development opportunity for both the club and its young people.
