Glasgow’s Volunteering Charter
Signatory: NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde
The Nurse Director has approved the recommendation for NHSGGC, Acute Services to sign up to Glasgow’s Volunteering Charter. Margaret Young, Strategic Lead is the nominated Officer with responsibility for volunteering. The Lead Officer will extend support to health colleagues within Glasgow City HSCP in relation to their own commitment to the Volunteering Charter. This pledge does not include Volunteer Services delivered by our Formal Partners at Beatson Cancer Centre or The Royal Hospital for Children, or the Clyde Sector of NHSGGC.
The team within Acute Services are committed to pledge one (“to create and expand appropriate opportunities for volunteering within our organisation”) and have achieved the following, securing the right to use the Charter Mark:
- Publish baseline data by 31st December 2016.
- Publish an action plan by 28th February 2017 that demonstrates NHSGGC’s Acute Services planned activities, which will support the potential for increasing volunteering opportunities.
