Want to find out more about volunteering?

Contacting Volunteer Glasgow about volunteering

Volunteer Glasgow would like to remind you that, in the absence of the Glasgow Helps helpline which ceased at the end of July, you can now contact us directly with any volunteering-related enquiries on 0141 226 3431 or email engagement@volunteerglasgow.org.

A new appointment service for volunteers

Also on a positive note, our Engagement & Inclusion Team is now offering a volunteering information and advice service via a new appointment system in lieu of our drop-in service which is currently suspended until further notice.

  • This system is for anybody who would like to find out more about volunteering, and appointments will be conducted by telephone or via Zoom or WhatsApp video call.
  • If you would like to arrange an appointment or have any queries regarding our new service, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Please note, if you are contacting us by telephone, you will be asked to provide contact details so a member of our Engagement & Inclusion Team can get in touch to arrange a suitable date and time to discuss volunteering.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Your safety and limiting the spread of the coronavirus being the main priority, Volunteer Glasgow continues to encourage you to adhere to NHS guidance on how best to avoid COVID-19, both in the work environment and at home.

Other ways to stay in touch

You can continue to register at opportunities.volunteerglasgow.org to access all volunteering opportunities currently available via Volunteer Glasgow. If you opt into receiving emails, you will get a weekly update with the latest roles available. New opportunities will also be shared via our social media platforms so please follow us on Facebook (Volunteer Glasgow) or Twitter (@volunteerglasgo). Keep an eye on our instagram (@volunteerglasgow) in the upcoming weeks where we hope to have a greater presence.

It is important to note that many volunteer-involving organisations are still acclimatizing to the new normal, and as such, may only be offering a limited (or adapted) service at this time. Our Organisation Support team is working closely with these organisations to ensure that the roles currently appearing on our website are reflective of the current volunteering landscape, and is now beginning to see an increase in the number of available opportunities.
