Live in South East or North Glasgow?
Confidence-boosting, try them out, volunteering ‘taster’ programmes – have a go, with the support you need: you won’t believe what you can do!
Fancy doing some volunteering but not sure what you want to do?
These programmes could be your perfect chance to find out! As part of a group we take you to 4 or 5 organisations to try out 4 or 5 different types of volunteering. Examples of the opportunities you will get a chance to try include:
- CHARITY SHOP ASSISTANTS
- LUNCH CLUB
- DROP-IN HELPERS
- SPORTS ACTIVITIES
“I would recommend this course as it helps you get an insight into different volunteer organisations and it leads into paid work.”
“I am retired, had spare time and was stuck in the house watching television, and this programme helped me to feel useful for the community very quickly and I have already made friends.”
The programmes are ONLY open to SOUTH EAST or NORTH GLASGOW residents* and are particularly suitable for those who face barriers to volunteering such as people with disabilities, mental health problems, addiction backgrounds, those with low confidence, long-term unemployed and young people.
