About this opportunity:

As a Group Coordinator you will be acting as an ambassador for the group, developing annual plans, leading the group’s activities and recruiting and supporting group volunteers.  You will be the key contact between staff and volunteers and ensure that the committee works together as an effective team to provide the services and activities necessary to meet the needs of local people affected by MS, and that the group works in partnership with others to achieve this.

You will have an interest in the MS Society and the work that we do, as well as the enthusiasm to represent both us and our values locally.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience with a large charity, develop your existing skills and learn new ones.

Frequency & Commitment: This role can be flexible to fit in with your lifestyle, as this is a 'leadership' role full training, induction and ongoing support will be given. Attendance at volunteer team meetings and Group fundraising and social events will also be required but again this can be flexible to fit in with you.

Where does it happen/How do I get there?
This opportunity can be done all over Scotland.

Group quarterly committee meetings take place locally to suit group members. Other meetings to represent the group can take place throughout the area.

Group/Organisation aims: We're the MS Society a community of people living with MS, scientists, campaigners, listeners, organisers, ambassadors and fundraisers dedicated to supporting everyone whose lives our touched by MS.

Skills, experience, or qualifications required: Can maintain confidentiality, IT Literate, Good leadership skills, ability to communicate, listen and negotiate., A good team member, Commitment to our values, Able to keep people's personal data safe, Sympathetic to the motivation and needs of volunteers.
