About this opportunity:
Opportunities have arisen for Volunteer Resource Assistants within the Maryhill Hub and the Ashgill Recreation Centre.
Both facilities are used by local communities and partner agencies for a range of activities such as sports and recreation, meetings and conferences and youth and community work.
The Volunteer Resource Assistants will complement the existing team of staff operating the two community-based facilities. There will be the opportunity to volunteer within the areas of youth work, administration, digital inclusion, gardening, caretaking and fitness activities.
Applicants will be required to demonstrate a willingness to undertake further training, shadowing and person development opportunities. We are especially keen to hear from applicants who have experience of: Working within a community setting or a sport/leisure environment; Working with children, young people or adults; Using ICT.

Frequency & Commitment: Our services operate Tuesday – Saturday, 9am–9.30pm so we are seeking volunteers with flexible availability for regular week day mornings, afternoons or evenings.

Skills, experience, or qualifications required: Knowledge of the needs of the local community., Basic numeracy and literacy skills , The ability to communicate with members of staff, the public and partner organisations.
