Minimum Age: You must be at least 18 years old to volunteer for this opportunity.

About this opportunity:
Volunteers will use the skills they have learned throughout their own crafting experience and share these with local people through a number of community workshops and school programmes (optional) to harness a creative culture in up-cycling, mending and recycling old, unwanted clothes into something special – for example, turning old jeans into a shopper bag or making placemats from old bedding. We seek enthusiastic volunteers who are passionate about textiles, crafting and the community. If you have the skill, we can help you find things to make and mend with others. The R:evolve Recycle project is funded by the Climate Challenge Fund and encourages local people to love their clothes by instilling a ‘make do and mend’ culture to help people reduce their textile waste and harmful C02 emissions.
