About this opportunity:
Sites will be chosen in conjunction with land owners and managers, where invasive species are known to be a threat to the native wildlife. On an annual visit the volunteer will assess the extent and spread of the species using a method designed to provide data in a form useful for making management decisions in treating the problem.

Group/Organisation aims: Plantlife International is a conservation charity working to protect wild plants and fungi in the UK and across the work. In Scotland this includes work on an endangered species programme, campaigning on issues such as non-native invasive species and involving volunteers in conservation activities.

Skills, experience, or qualifications required: Interest in conservation & the environment. Ability to follow survey methods & conduct simple fieldwork

  • Expenses Icon25 pence per mile, maximum of 80 miles. Expenses form to be submitted after fieldwork
