About this opportunity:

Are you passionate about cycling and walking? Could you inspire children and young people to get active? We are looking for volunteers to help deliver our school cycling programme " I Bike" in various schools in East Dunbartonshire, Dumfries, Glasgow, North Ayrshire, Perth and West Lothian.

Volunteers will work with our I Bike Officer to deliver playgound cycling and scootering skils, and learn to ride sessions to develop basic cycling skills and confidence.

Volunteers should be available during the school day and ideally can committ to supporting an activity on a weekly or fortnightly basis.

Training will be provided and volunteers will be able to shadow the officer to develop their skills and confidence.

Frequency & Commitment: We ask that volunteers are able to commit to at least one activty per month.Most activites will take place during term time as part of the school day from 9am-3pm although some learn to ride sessions will take place after the school day between 3-5pm to involve parents in these sessions too.

This opportunity can be done all over Scotland.
Volunteers will be expected  make their own way to and from the school or venue where the activity take place

Skills, experience, or qualifications required: Reliable & trustworthy, Approachable & friendly, Enjoy working with children, Enthusiastic, Good communication skills, Ability to cycle safely and legally on local roads and paths, Appropriate cycle ride leader training can be provided, leader, sports coaching
