About this opportunity:

Are you passionate about cycling? Could you inspire young people to get active? We are looking for volunteers to help support our programme of led rides in schools, alongside our I Bike Officer in East Dunbartonshire, North Ayrshire,  Perth Dumfries and West Lothian. Why volunteer with I Bike?  Perhaps you want to boost your CV and gain experience of working with young people; or you enjoy the benefits of working outdoors, meeting new people and sharing your skills.  Whatever you motivation, we can offer you an enjoyable and rewarding experience, providing support and training to help you become confident in working alongside our I Bike officers in schools.

Frequency & Commitment: We ask volunteers to commit to at least one led ride per month.

Where does it happen/How do I get there?
This opportunity can be done all over Scotland.
All volunteers are responsible for making their own way to and from the activtity venue.

Group/Organisation aims: Sustrans makes smarter travel choices possible, desirable and inevitable. We're a leading UK charity enabling people to travel by foot, bike or public transport for more of the journeys we make every day. Much of this is via the National Cycle Network (NCN), which covers over 2,000 miles in Scotland, 1500 miles on road and  over 500 miles off road, and much more across the UK as a whole.Across the UK, the NCN  carries over a million walking and cycling journeys daily  in the UK and passes within a mile of 57% of the population. We work with families, communities, policy-makers and partner organisations so that people are able to choose healthier, cleaner and cheaper journeys, with better places and spaces to move through and live in.
