Volunteering Taster Programmes

Fancy doing some volunteering but not sure what you want to do?

Have a go, with the support you need: you won’t believe what you can do!

As part of a group we take you to 4 or 5 organisations to try out 4 or 5 different types of volunteering.  Examples of the opportunities you will get a chance to try include:

  • CHARITY SHOP ASSISTANTS
  • ARTS & CRAFTS
  • LUNCH CLUB
  • TELEPHONE HELPLINE ADVISER
  • CARE/SUPPORT
  • DROP-IN HELPERS
  • CONSERVATION/GARDENING
  • SPORTS ACTIVITIES

“I would recommend this course as it helps you get an insight into different volunteer organisations and it leads into paid work.”

“I am retired, had spare time and was stuck in the house watching television, and this programme helped me to feel useful for the community very quickly and I have already made friends.”
