Volunteering Taster Programmes

Fancy doing some volunteering but not sure what you want to do?

Have a go, with the support you need: you won’t believe what you can do!

As part of a group we take you to 4 or 5 organisations to try out 4 or 5 different types of volunteering.  Examples of the opportunities you will get a chance to try include:

  • CHARITY SHOP ASSISTANTS
  • ARTS & CRAFTS
  • LUNCH CLUB
  • TELEPHONE HELPLINE ADVISER
  • CARE/SUPPORT
  • DROP-IN HELPERS
  • CONSERVATION/GARDENING
  • SPORTS ACTIVITIES

The programmes are ONLY open to SOUTH EAST  GLASGOW residents* and are particularly suitable for those who face barriers to volunteering such as people with disabilities, mental health problems, addiction backgrounds, those with low confidence, long-term unemployed and young people.

10th September 2019 – 20th September 2019

15th October 2019 – 25th October 2019

12th November 2019 – 22nd November 2019

3rd December 2019 – 13th December 2019

14th January 2020  – 24th January 2020

18th February 2020 – 28th February 2020

10th March 2020 – 20th March 2020
