Volunteering Taster Programmes

Fancy doing some volunteering but not sure what you want to do?

Have a go, with the support you need: you won’t believe what you can do!

As part of a group we take you to 4 or 5 organisations to try out 4 or 5 different types of volunteering.  Examples of the opportunities you will get a chance to try include:

  • CHARITY SHOP ASSISTANTS
  • ARTS & CRAFTS
  • LUNCH CLUB
  • TELEPHONE HELPLINE ADVISER
  • CARE/SUPPORT
  • DROP-IN HELPERS
  • CONSERVATION/GARDENING
  • SPORTS ACTIVITIES

The programmes are ONLY open to SOUTH EAST  GLASGOW residents* and are particularly suitable for those who face barriers to volunteering such as people with disabilities, mental health problems, addiction backgrounds, those with low confidence, long-term unemployed and young people.

16th April 2019 – 26th April 2019

7th May 2019 – 17th May 2019

28th May 2019 – 7th June 2019

25th June 2019 – 5th July 2019

23rd July 2019 – 2nd August 2019

20th August 2019 – 30th August 2019
