the marie trust logoDo you have a genuine interest in learning to cook or improving your cooking skills?  Do you want to develop your skills for work, volunteering or to enter education?  Are you able to commit to at least one day per week for 4 months?

The Marie Trust has developed an excellent volunteering opportunity for Assistant Chefs.  The role involved starting at 9am – 3.30pm and being on your feet for the majority of the day.  Whilst your volunteering you will be taught to cook by the Head Chef and be mentored by the Volunteer Coordinator.    You will learn how to cook and serve meals for up to 100 people every day.  You will gain qualificiations in REHIS Elementary Food & Health, REHIS Food Hygiene, REHIS Elementary Cooking Skills and a SCQF level 5 Community Achievement Award, evidencing your skills, development and contribution to The Marie Trust services.
