Be one of our superstars!

Because that’s what our befrienders and mentors who support young people are, why not become one too?  Min age 18.

Volunteer Glasgow’s Young Persons’ Befriending Service and Intandem mentoring are looking for volunteers who want to make a difference in the life of a young person.  Both roles involve spending time with a young person on a 1:1 basis taking part in a variety of social activities and developing a positive and trusting relationship.  Excellent training is provided for both roles.

The intandem mentoring project works with young people aged 8-14 who are looked after by the local authority and living at home.  Training for this role begins on Wednesday 19 July and lasts for 3 weeks (two sessions per week).

The Young Persons’ Befriending Service works with young people who live in 2 areas of Glasgow, West and South West,  who may be facing a wide variety of challenges and issues.  The next training programme for this role begins on Monday 4 September, and again lasts for 3 weeks with two sessions per week.
