Be a Befriender to an Isolated Carer
Glasgow East End Community Carers need people to come along and volunteer as befrienders! If you have a couple of hours to spare once a week or every other week and can commit to meeting a carer then please get in touch. As a befriender, you can meet the carer weekly for a coffee and a chat or you could support the carer to participate in a hobby or do something in the community.
The befriending relationship is lots of fun and it helps to build confidence and resilience, often resulting in improved mental and physical health and well-being for the carer. Befrienders get 6 weeks training, support and out of pocket expenses. Sound interesting? To apply or for more information, please CLICK HERE
