Promote opportunities via BBC

An additional way to promote your volunteering opportunities and/or activities if they’re in the arts/crafts, history, environment/wildlife, astronomy/science education.

BBC Learning are inviting not-for-profit and public service groups and organisations to register with “Things To Do” and have their activities published on the BBC website.  Many popular BBC programmes actively promote the “Things To Do” BBC web pages for people across the UK to find related activities and opportunities, including:

  • Handmade in Britain
  • Reel History
  • Autumnwatch/Springwatch
  • Countryfile
  • Bang Goes the Theory
  • Stargazing Live

“We’re a small charity and haven’t got a website of our own.  ‘Things to Do’ is a great way of letting the community know about our activities and more people are coming to them since we started using it.” Jackie Carpenter, Volunteer Manager for Island Community Action.
