Running for intandem
Our amazing volunteer mentor Ian Hudson has decided to run the Great Scottish Run half marathon this September, and will be doing so to raise much needed funds for our intandem youth mentoring service. intandem supports young people in South and North West Glasgow who are facing difficult life circumstances.
Ian has been mentoring our young person Daryl for 19 months and the pair have built a fantastic relationship. Ian visits Daryl every Saturday and they have engaged in various fun activities such as go-karting, football matches, M&D’s and circus trips. Over the 19 months we have seen positive changes in Daryl’s self-esteem and confidence levels and he has built positive friendships with 2 other young people who are also part of intandem.
As little as £10 would pay for 1 mentoring visit, £50 would pay for a months worth of mentoring, £300 would pay for a Halloween Party for our matches, and £1000 would pay for the costs of a group work program for young people who are waiting for a mentor.
Please offer your support to Ian by sponsoring what you can! He’s an absolute trooper and has been training hard so he deserves all our support!! Click the link below to read his story and get donating!!!
