funding available from Festival 2018

Any community group* based in Glasgow can apply for grants of between £100 and £5,000 to put on cultural events and arts activities in their own area before and during the Glasgow 2018 European Championships.

The Festival 2018 Our Place Fund has £60,000 available for cultural events and arts activity within Glasgow, and will be distributed through a participatory budgeting process – people across Glasgow will vote to choose which events are funded.

Festival 2018 encourages proposals that provide opportunities to bring people together to celebrate our diverse communities and places, and will welcome your inspirational ideas. You might want to hold a family fun day for little ones and their parents or guardians. Other ideas might involve working with local groups to put on art workshops, concerts or street theatre events.

* A community group can be a formal, constituted organisation, or may simply be a group of 2 or more people who have an idea for a cultural or artistic project.  Non-constituted groups should ask a constituted community organisation to back their application for this fund.

Deadline for applications is 5pm on Monday 29th January.
