Aye Write 2019 FREE Tickets for community groups
Aye Write! is Glasgow’s Book Festival and this year runs from 14 – 31 March 2019 . This year is the biggest ever festival. Among the authors appearing this year are: Gina Miller, Simon Mayo, Val McDermid, Tracey Thorn, Louis De Bernieres, Janey Godley, Alexander McCall Smith and Viv Albertine. The festival includes the usual mix of politics, memoir, history, fiction, sport, crime, poetry and Gaelic.
As part of this year’s festival, they are again running the Aye Write! Community Ticketing Initiative. They are offering a limited number of free tickets across the festival programme to community members who wouldn’t otherwise purchase tickets and are particularly keen to encourage those who are contributing to and participating in the free events to take up this offer. This includes adult learners and community group members who have been working on producing writing and other content for the events.
The offer is open to all community groups across the city so please pass this message on to other staff, learning and community group networks and contacts who may be interested in attending the festival.
Please complete the attached application form in the link below as soon as possible but no later than Thursday 14th February, inserting the most appropriate contact details for them to get back to you about the application, and submit it to firstname.lastname@example.org
Glasgow Life will contact all those who have applied by Thursday 28th February to let them know if they have been allocated tickets. Demand may be high for certain events so please submit your request as soon as you can. It would be useful to let your community group members know that, unfortunately, we Aye Write may not be in a position to allocate all requested tickets but will do their best.
