3C Community Choices Canal Fund is now open

The 3C panel invite you to apply to help make Canal Ward a better place. They have £200,000 to invest in the community and are looking for local people, community groups and voluntary sector organisations who can provide activities, ideas and services to improve employability in the Canal area.

There are 3 funds:

Try it out fund £500-£1000 for local people or groups to try out an employability idea.

Main fund up to £30,000 or constituted groups or voluntary sector organisations who want to deliver services in the Canal area.

In work training fund, a small fund for organisations that employ local people to develop their skills.

Criteria focuses on Mentoring, Confidence Building, Pre-re employability training, Social Enterprises, Volunteering. Details are available in the application pack

How to apply

email:  for an application pack or pick 1 up from Lambhill Stables, Possilpoint community centre, North Glasgow Healthy Food Initiative Centre, in Liddlesdale Square or North United Communities Base, Castlebay Flats, Milton. Closing date for applications  is Friday 29th of March at 5pm.

The 3C process, the applications will be assessed by the 3C Panel, to make sure they meet the criteria. Applicants who meet the criteria will be invited to come along to the 3C Fun Day, where they’ll have a stall telling people about their idea. Local people will be asked to vote for those projects they like the best. Successful applicants will receive funding.

Look out for more information about our 3C fun day on the 27th April, where local people will get the chance to vote, while having some fun. Digital voting will be open 20th of April
