Smarter Volunteer Manager training – NEW!
The newest development in integrated training for managers of volunteers, strategic lead officers, and members of governing bodies
Volunteer Glasgow is introducing a new advance in volunteer management learning. Following a review of our training provision, we are offering a radically fresh approach to ensuring managers have all the necessary knowledge, skills and tools to maximise their success.
There’s no ‘one-size-fits-all’ structure for volunteer involving organisations so there has to be a degree of flexibility in how they are managed. We believe this should be reflected in the training available to managers.
Our previous programmes employed different methods to achieve the same, fundamental outcomes – all grounded on our Dynamic Model of Volunteer Management*. The new approach brings together the best and most effective techniques to ensure the highest quality experience for participants.
Organisations wishing to take advantage of this opportunity for developing a team in-house, please contact our Training Officer Jim King for further information.

The next Learning Set starts Thursday, 9th March, 2017. Four half day sessions, two weeks apart.
Training for Your Needs
Jim King, our Training Officer, can assist you in having a more fundamental look at your intended volunteer management and can offer focussed support to get you where you want to be.
Alongside the scheduled events, we continue to offer our established consultation and custom design service which can provide a specific, tailored response to your training needs. In the last few years, many local and national agencies have taken advantage of this excellent service. For some, it has been simply an opportunity to review an organisation’s training needs; for others we have been able to guide major changes in organisational structure.
A meeting to discuss things in more detail would cost nothing. So if you need training or development input and require assistance to choose the best way forward, please don’t hesitate to contact the Training Officer.
