Public awareness of volunteering opportunities has never been greater and is increasing – the volunteerglasgow.org website alone attracted nearly 40,000 visitors in the last 12 months – and following the success of the Olympics, the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games will start promoting their games time volunteering opportunities this autumn/winter.
