Got more volunteers than you need?
If you are in the enviable position of having all the volunteers you need, please refer new enquirers to The Volunteer Centre. That way, some other organisation can benefit, and the timing can be important, particularly if someone has been motivated to make enquiries.
Untapped reserves of volunteers!!
If you have any of the following types of work needing done that would be appropriate for people to do as volunteers, then you should seriously consider advertising through the Volunteer Centre: all have far more people interested in doing them than we have registered opportunities!
- Admin/Office work
- Practical/DIY
- Computing
- Research/Policy work
- Languages/Translating
- Tutoring/Supporting Learners
- Arts
- Sport
- Finance/Accountancy
Just fill out the forms here on our website or ring the appropriate staff member for further info/advice. Details of staff contacts at the bottom of the bulletin.
A team of young volunteers ready to help:
Orange RockCorps is seeking charity partners in Glasgow who could provide 2,000 young people with volunteering opportunities. Last year 8,000 volunteers earned tickets to gigs in Manchester and London. Every Orange RockCorps volunteer gave 4 hours of their time to volunteer at projects which included cleaning parks and painting community halls. We can bring between 50 - 200 volunteers all of whom are supervised by RockCorps. Projects run from 10 May - 10 June. If you are interested, please contact Safia at snoor@rockcorps.co.uk
Do you have a one-off task/activity that you need help with?
Staff at Monster.co.uk are looking to support various charity organisations that have a direct impact on communities in the areas of:
- Education -- programmes, resources and tools that offer children and individuals access to the academic foundation necessary to succeed
- Job readiness/training - programmes, tools and resources necessary to help individuals achieve their work-life goals and potential.
If your group/organisation has a task that could be completed by 1-3 people on a one-off basis normally during office working hours, then please complete the form here and send it to Caroline.Hardie@Monster.co.uk
