Tell us about the volunteers you need in 3 easy steps (below). Once we have clarified any details we will publish your needs (“opportunities”) online where they will be returned to members of the public in searches for voluntary work. There’s around 100,000 searches conducted each year for opportunities in Glasgow with between 450 and 600 opportunities live at any single point in time. We also provide information and advice on opportunities to over 3,000 individuals face2face or by email/phone each year.

STEP 1 – Register your Organisation

We require you to register your organisation only once. Once registered you can easily, and quickly, advertise your volunteering opportunities with The Volunteer Centre.

STEP 2 – Register Opportunities

You can register each volunteering role/opportunity using the form available on our website. Please familiarise yourself with our Opportunity Guidance notes

STEP 3 – Improve your profile

Once you’ve successfully registered an opportunity, we can also:

1. Highlight it under “urgently required” on www.volunteerglasgow.org/4u/search subject to availability (!) and not usually for any more than 2 weeks at a time.
   
   
2. Ask colleagues at VDS to put up an item on the “Latest news” section of www.volunteerscotland.org.uk if it is deemed to be of regional/national relevance (and subject to availability!).
   
   
3. Email registered volunteers with an interest in the same type of opportunity with the details should they be interested: we normally have over 3000 people registering with us each year as potential volunteers.
