This is a fabulous, no-brainer opportunity for your group or organisation to get a free professional photography service! This could be used to produce high quality photographs for documents, your website or possibly an exhibition of your group’s activities.

Arabic-speaking interpreter

Hussein’s first language is Arabic and he is fluent in English with a Degree in the English Language. He has a MSC in Clinical Pharmacy and a BA in Pharmacy, work experience in a hospital and experience as an Academic Tutor at the University of Pharmacy in Baghdad. Hussein is keen to use his language skills in interpreting or translation in a volunteering capacity. A project related to Health Education or Health Counselling would be of particular interest to him. Please contact Tracey Sojka if you would like to speak with Hussein to make an offer of volunteering opportunities.

Assistance offered in research or policy work

Ewan has recently completed a Masters course in Public Policy, having previously graduated with a Masters in Neuroscience. He has also recently been the driving force behind the adoption of the Liberal Democrats new drug policy, and been elected to the Scottish Lib Dem’s policy committee. He is looking to gain experience in research or policy work by assisting an organisation with such work for at least one day a week.

Mandarin-speaking interpreter

Nicola is fluent in Mandarin after having graduated with a Masters in Chinese Studies in addition to spending an extensive period in China. She is very keen to use her language skills for the benefit of Mandarin speakers in Glasgow, particularly from the refugee community. She can offer a few hours per week inbetween her other work.
