Urgently Required:

  • Ocean Youth Trust URGENTLY require volunteers to sign up to run the Great Scottish Run, 4th & 5th September 2010 in aid of Ocean Youth Trust Scotland. So if you’re aged from 9 years of age upwards you can apply to get involved with either the junior run on the Saturday 4th September or the main event on the Sunday 5th September. A Training Plan/ schedule will be provided to all volunteers. For more information click here.

  • Are you over 50 with time to spare on an agreed basis? We need VOLUNTEER PEER MENTORS urgently to help us begin an exciting new project!
    The Brighter Futures Project provides a Peer Mentoring volunteer service for isolated older people in the South East of Glasgow. The aim is to significantly improve the quality of life of older people, enhancing their social networks, mental health and enabling meaningful activity.   • Glasgow Disabled Scouts URGENTLY require VOLUNTEER ESCORTS to help drivers transport our members to and from our meeting places. We provide challenge and adventure for young people aged 8 to 25 with physical disabilities.  Volunteers will be assigned to a route near their home across Glasgow.  You will be collected and returned home each Monday evening.  NEXT TRAINING DAY MONDAY 23RD AUG 2010.   • Scottish Cycling and Glasgow Life are organising the second Glasgow City Sky Ride on 22 August. Help as an event marshal and be part of the buzz! Last year 7000 people got on a bike and took part. Refreshments, equipment, etc all provided for a fabulous day out! More info/register an interest here

  • The Disability Community is a friendly and welcoming environment with a proven track record of supporting and involving volunteers. Opportunities exist in their Cafe, Lunch Club and also a Cook ‘n’ Care Home Delivery service.
