Urgently Required:
- Befrienders are urgently required to support adults with a learning disability based in the Pollok area of Glasgow. Befrienders are needed to escort befriendees on outings such as cinema, bowling, shopping, or access vocational training opportunities. Volunteers are required once a week or fortnightly for a few hours: day, evenings or weekends. We provide full training, support, and a small budget for activities. - Take part in an exercise study at the Institute of Biomedical and Life Sciences, University of Glasgow. We are investigating the effects of moderate exercise and appetite responses. By participating, you will receive fitness assessment, resting metabolic rate assessment, body fat measurement, glucose and cholesterol levels and free meals. If you are a healthy male 18-45 yrs, non-smoker and heavier than you would like to be, we would like to hear from you.
